IL Wanted softop front mounting bar kayline besttop STC aluminum part that attaches to softop material

Hey guys looking for the aluminum bar that slides into the front header . This is on top of the windshield and slides into and attached to and with the soft top. It has a round cording sewed into the material and slides into the aluminum bracket. I’m making an early style softop and missing this...

    PA Trail cover

@LUBr LuvR I will post a picture and take some along the way just in case someone else wants to make one. I got enough material to do two tops and one might be a half cab. I’m going to copy some details from my buddies trucks and an old Witco ad. I had a 66 roadster years ago with an original...

    PA Trail cover

@jeffncs I appreciate the offer and may take you up on sizing one. Sourcing materials at a lower cost will be key. I have some samples of materials coming in this week for the trail tops. My fastback top took close to 10 yards of materials plus the extra bits like webbing and hardware...

    PA Trail cover

Got to sew up my “trail cover” and it worked great with a 1 inch rain fall and heavy winds . The interior was dry and water didn’t pool on the top being a fastback style. I did end up using a 11 oz awning material that is waterproof and a bit stiffer being it’s coated on both sides. I still...

    PA Trail cover

@NGABronco thanks for the info and interesting they used webbing and really a good idea. Webbing is a bit tricky to fold unless you have a folding attachment on your sewing machine. I do on my one machine but it’s for light materials. My others are heavy and super heavy duty machines. I...

    PA Trail cover

@jeffncs I think I will reinforce a few area to be on the safe side . A few reasons why as it will protect the bronco and keep wear to a minimum on the cover. I also have a tendency to over build things lol. I unfortunately only have 2 broncos now and both bone ass stock . So no cage but...

IL 1966 bronco silver bench seat covers

@Gas Pig thank you for the reply and offer. I appreciate the info on SMS and getting the correct materials. As an old time hotrod wood boat builder and have been sewing my interiors for 30 years now. I would have to sew my own or never hear the end of it from my buddies lol

    PA Trail cover

That would be awesome and much appreciated. I made a pattern from the pictures I have seen just like you would do for hotrod or boat top. Mine will be a single piece from lower windshield to lower tailgate. The sides will be mirrored bronco images and sewed with a feld seam . I can’t see...

    PA Trail cover

Thank you @tasker I should have one sewed up by the end of the week. I’m just waiting on some webbing buckle bits. I have stainless steel ones we use on the boats but want to use plastic .. When I make my ski boat covers I put rub pads on the windshield area and corners not to scratch...
