    help. i need two measurements

Why don't you reverse engineer the problem and assemble the t-case, tranny, bell and motor or bare block and set the motor mounts and put it in and bolt in the rear cross member and that will give you the exact spot for the towers, tack weld them to the frame and then remove all and weld them...

Looking at 45's top, you know if you took a 1/4x2" flat stock and ran it from the door post and across the top of the rails using the stake pockets. Using 2" roll bar stock, in the back corners and behine the doors,to support the top and have soft sides, maybe soft sides that have frames that...

The 71 seats are still on the drawing board, but I did take pictures of the 72's. The air lumbar was aftermarket, the brand I think he said was dog bones (it looks like a bone when it's inflated), and all you have to do is hog ring them into the foam. The height was about 6" and the width fit...

    Stock seat pictures

Just finished a stock front set for my 72. Used a repo set of interior, reused the stock foam, but steamed it first (the steaming helps bring back some of the fluff, and I was going to sell anyway). Only think I did to these was I added air lumbar on the drivers side. Gives the driver more comfort...

    BACK-UP ... Lights w/ Flr Shift ?

On my 72 when it had a floor shift, you could always grab the collar on the column and move it in to the reverse position and the lite would come on. The switch was under the hood were the old shift rods were and there was a bracket with a push buttom switch mounted so when you put it in reverse...

    2v,4v heads, 351w out of a Ltd???

When it comes to a 351W,I don't think that there is a differences in heads. Be it a 2V or 4V the heads are all the same. Now when it comes to 351 Cleveland there is a big differences in heads, both ports and valves. But the 69-70 351W are the best of that era,but by todays standards it's a toss up.
