Moving to San Diego - where to get work done?

You are moving to Encinitas? You just struck gold my friend. You'll see. As for smog........go to Encinitas Smog and get the real skinny. Downtown Encinitas. And by the way.....this is Porsche Paradise.

    Bronco Shops in So Ca

Yes, Beach City Broncos in El Cajon Ca. They have been there for a while.

    wheel covers or hubcaps?

I like my women and Broncos bone stock. I dig the hubcap look.

    Bronco rollover

Early Broncos were dangerous the second they left the build line. Our joke about them is "unsafe at any speed." Drive them with that always on your mind.

picking up a 1966 bronco and looking for a well known shop!

Take your time is number one. The costs now-a-days of everything is nuts. I like my Broncos and women straight and stock.

Has the high end Bronco market cooled off?

Since I made a living out the back of early Broncos, I'll never understand what people pay today. It's as though I landed on another planet.

    Pricing advice

If you got offered 34K you are golden. Never forget the old saying, "whatever rust you see it's much worse where you can't see" Or, something like that. People have lost their friggin' financial minds over these ill handling things. Take the money and run.

    CA 72 Explorer Sport Survivor

That is a lovely Bronco. Here comes the "but part". But, any and everything I buy now is not selling for what it did just one month ago. The current administration has seen to the economy being in deep despair. So, try looking at the sale as a positive. Did you make money, was your timing...

    Frame off - now what?

    What...no one uses POR-15 ? Oh' well.

For what it's worth, Hagerty thinks values are dropping

Here is where I make no friends. The mystic appeal of muscle cars is D.O.A here in SoCal. The percentage of a dying breed of the interested is checking out. Even if they weren't, the age bracket has increased so much so the focus is on Depends and 55 and over real estate. Don't get me wrong...

    MI Joe Cocker 66 Bronco?

I don't care if Stevie Ray Vaughan owned it. There is an easy 25K to make it right...maybe more

Floor Pan Install - Keeping Drip Rail (Budd)?

Anthony, doing floors correctly is a pain in the arse. Butt welds burn thru the edges of sheet metal at the blink of an eye. Upper end wire/gas or tig is the ticket. It's going to cost big to do it right because of the time it takes. If you proceed make sure the shop doesn't do a bunch of...

    Vintage Racing Bronco Rescue

If that was year Garner was there then yes. I couldn't remember. Grew up surfing San Diego. Bill, Ken and I would go down to Ensenada and surf that break until they ruined it with a jetty. Stay the night, wake up to watch the off load of racers and the drivers show up. I just wish I...

    Vintage Racing Bronco Rescue

I love this. Am I the only one here that was in Mexico to watch James Garner race (from the starting point)? That, was one of the thrills of my life. The others? Watching Jimmy get in fights at Pro-Am golf tournaments here in SoCal. He liked to fight and wasn't afraid to mix it up...

    2.7L with 7speed manual swap

The value in any collector car is keeping them as stock as possible. When the Sawzall comes out, the value goes down. I'm an expert

    Rebuild 302 or Buy Crate

Funny, I've been driving 1st gen Broncos over 50 years and have not needed anything other than what they came with. I didn't realize how miserable I've been :ROFLMAO:

1970 Seafoam Build - infuriating update

I like my women straight and my Broncos stock. Why the driver added wood is a mystery. I've on and off loaded hundreds of vehicles and heavy equipment for decades, I'm clueless why this occurred. The upside? Seafoam Green and uncut...I think I just felt something move.
