This is what I got!

I bought a 1999 Exploder on Saturday. I consider it a complete kit. Everything is already on it. I hope. It runs and drives well. I plan on parting out the rest of it. It is a clean, clean ride. My wife can not believe I am planning on tearing it apart instead of enjoying it as is.

Ok. Dumb question here. If you have a serp setup, why are you needing a kit? Doesnt the explorer front dress have a compressor on it already? I am not understanding the problem from the beginning here. I have a 2inch body lift and am hoping I can tuck it all in when I do my explorer swap.

I bought a ford exploder with 5.0 efi! Now I have a donor for every part I need. It only had 117k on the odometer and it purrs. Revs up sharp.

Cheap muffler was rolled and crimped. Most likely a welded muffler would not have split open. I have flowmasters. I think they are too loud but they are heavy and not cheap.

The reason I wanted fuel injection in the first place was due to poor combustion on street and stalls offroad offcamber. It has evolved into a new engine with front dress and serpentine and now custom tuning to put a factory setup in this old beast.

That mirror looks like it is more than half way down the dang windshield. I am short at 5ft 6in. And I am disproportionate with a larger torso. I feel like Shaq in the Bronco. I have to duck to look up at street light signals. That mirror would irritate the heck out of me.

I intended to run a full emissions system. Pretty much keeping it all as is except for the ZF 5speed instead of the exploder trans. I don't yet see a need for upgrades such as mustang parts. So if efiguy can set up the ecu for me, I should probably send him two and keep a spare in case...

It seems guys are opting to put a distributor in place of the coil packs. I don't quite understand why. Shouldn't a guy keep the DIS to utilize all the benefits of EFI? I have been reading up on everything as I should have my exploder tomorrow. It seems like every swapper does things a little...

I am hoping to have efi soon. But I would love to sit down witha carb expert and learn more. I hate carbs. I can not troubleshoot them to save my life.

WheelHorse, thanks. EFIGuy, I will PM you when I get the explorer home to pull the ecu and ship it to you. This is gonna be a huge upgrade for this Bronco. I almost can't wait. FI and serp. I will be in high cotton.

Can I get some feedback on the WildHorses Shock Jock rear mounts? How much length do they add? I have a 2 inch body lift and a 5.5 suspension lift. I see some trimming might be required. No big deal there.

I got the new ss hardware. It looks so much better. Thanks guys! The only thing left before I install the liftgate back on is the weatherstripping. I have it. Just need to install it. Whoot.
