    4r70w questions

I pulled a 4r out of pick n pull over the weekend and someone's rebuilding it for me. One question is he wants to know what I want the stall to be at. What would be the best for a bronco with a new crate engine, 4:11 gears and 33's, probably will swap in 35's soon Next question is should I...

    4r70w/205 swap questions

One more thing, none of the junk yard around me have broncos from the 70s for a 205, I just read that I can use my zf to d20 adapter for the 4r to d20? If that's so I'll just rebuild my d20 and throw that back up there. I don't do a whole bunch of offroading, mainly because everytime I want to...

    4r70w/205 swap questions

Alright thanks guys, the Trans seems like it will be easy to find, there are plenty of explorers in the lot. And for the 205 the best would be a 78 bronco because it has the cv? And I keep hearing that I need to make a crossmember for the 205 so it doesn't break the Trans, but then some...

I'm looking for a good 4x4 4r70w and a np205, doesn't have to be together but I will need both somehow. I'm in Monterey county but can go to the bay area too if someone has one. Let me know what you have! Evan

    4r70w/205 swap questions

So here's the deal, I just graduated highschool and will be off to college in a couple months. I am getting the bronco ready to be reliable to get too and from college and I can't work on it where I'm staying. My zf is going out and got a quote for 1200 to rebuild it, I'd rather put a 4r70w in...

So I drove it a lot in the past 2 days. It still has like a bog, driving down the highway, holding the gas steady it is jumpy? if that makes sense, like if i was letting off and on the gas a lot. and than last night and this morning it kept quitting while i was driving but i think it was because...

oh was I suppose to let the engine heat up then turn it off then on again to run the test? Is that why the ect sensor was out of the range? And what should my idle be at? I had it aruond 650-700 during that and bumped it up to 800 after

Now officially graduated! Today I got the alternator to work, put the old regulator thing on and it fixed that. I still have to check the tps but not sure how exactly, but I did run the codes with the engine on and I came up with... 12, 21, 94, 44, 33 Im pretty sure 94 44 33 are smog related...
