Check the website, they are open from 12:30-2:00 or something stupid like that right now. Took me 3 days to get a person but they were very helpful once I did.

What have you done to your Bronco today?

Took it and hosed the dust off. After Easter at my parents I broke out my easy bake oven and tried powder coating for the first time. So far the parts look good.

Very nice Gary. Looks clean and I like how the receiver in incorporated into the bumper, I did the same on my rear bumper. Great work!

New Bumper for Old School Winch Build Thread

I see whatcha layin down. I think the smokeless record player has been done. I'm working on a new prototype toilet paper dispenser. It will allow you to put 6 rolls in real quick like a speed loader! Then it will auto dispense with a vengeance!

Check on the oval, think I have one laying around. Randy, you let the other cat out of the bag. It's actually going to be a Ronco bumper. No winch, just a PTO powered food processor in the center. The bins are for trail slaw, cut it with the processor, throw it in the bin, add dressing and...

New Bumper for Old School Winch Build Thread

I'm going to add a rubber seal to the lids to try and keep the water out. I welded in a small piece of stainless threaded 5/16 for drains on the lowest point on each side. The insides will get etched & then hurculiner to keep it from rusting and prevent the contents from damaging the finish...

New Bumper for Old School Winch Build Thread

Good eye Gary, I wasn't going to say anything until they were done. The lids are going to be billet aluminum. They'll mount with two tabs on bolts. Kind of hard to explain but it's one of those one of those things I can see perfectly in my head. I thought it would be cool to be able to store...

Thanks, the garage is 24x48, built it about 15 years ago. A higher ceiling would be the only change.

New Bumper for Old School Winch Build Thread

Thanks Dave, it's probably going to be at least 50# lighter than the old one. The old one was a beast, just ask Eoth, he bought it. I actually want it as heavy as I can get it. The rear bumper with spare is probably pushing 300# plus. Makes for a lower center of gravity and a little easier...

New Bumper for Old School Winch Build Thread

Thanks guys, I'm trying to get it wrapped up. Made the last two cardboard templates tonight and got some of the welds cleaned up. I'll be running the winch with the Warn nameplate , the Jeep on will get sold to help fund the build. Maybe I'll list it on pirate.

Didnt bother me, I'd be disappointed if someone didn't chime in on the Jeep equipment, and during the AMC years no less![emoji13]
