    Rear gas tank leaks

Thank paco. I bought JB today. I'm gonna try that first. If it doesnt work, I'll buy a new sending unit & hope I can get everything in and out ok. If not I'll fill the tank with water (after drying), cut the hitch off and put a new 23 gal in. Hopefully the JB will work from the outside.

As much as I need a tan8-) No, I wouldn’t have attempted it while still in the tank. I get nervous around it with a screw driver. Hopefully the JB weld will work from the outside ;D Thanks for your advice Ed

    Rear gas tank leaks

Thanks. If the JB weld will last 3 or 4 years. I think I'll go that route for now. Who knows what I'll do with the truck over that period of time. Maybe new bumpers, new 23 gal tank, etc. At toms, he said I could remove the extra (return)rubber tube and cap the line off at that point or...

    Rear gas tank leaks

Spoke with Toms. They said that in 1973 they installed sending units with a "return gas line to allow excess fuel to drain back into the tank". He said they didnt have any sending units with the two tubes. Does anyone know where I could buy one in the event the "JB Weld" doesnt worK. Thanks Ed

Seat belts/Harnass with stock rear seat?

Thanks Ric. One of my concerns is not doing it right and causing other possible injuries. What about a 3 point harnass. Does your point apply the same? Heres one at Jeffs Does that top belt strap (the single piece above the 2 breast <--:o belts) normally mount...

Seat belts/Harnass with stock rear seat?

No, I dont Have a cage to mount anything for the rear seats high. I thought that maybe I could mount the single belt somewhere to the back part of the frame of the seat. Or if it was long enough to the floor. In the picture it just doesnt seem that long. Or maybe weld some sort of bar across...

Seat belts/Harnass with stock rear seat?

Hi, I need to install belts for the rear stock seat. I would like something more than a lap belt to secure the Lillun's with. I do not have any mounting area above the shoulder. Any suggestions? I was thinking about something like the 3" Lap & Shoulder Belt (Crow) from WH...

    Rear gas tank leaks

Well, I was hoping I didnt have to remove the sending unit because of the hitch problem. In the event I need to, I figure I might as well replace it with a new one since the work is all the same. I have a bad feeling I'll need to cut the hitch out though. Can I put the JB weld or similar...

    Rear gas tank leaks

Well I decided I didnt want to replace the sending unit. So I installed new clamps (hoping it was that simple), cleaned everthing up and found the leak. Its coming from the "two (2)" tubes that exit the sending unit plate (?). Kevin you mentioned one pickup tube & I went to Jeffs Bronco...

I finally got my Bronco back from the shop. Washed it real nice;D , filled er' up and noticed/smelled gas. It appears to be leaking from around the sending unit. Can anyone tell me what I need. I assume a gasket and maybe a new locking ring (JBG $7). Anything else to check/buy. My biggest...
