    Yep, every serp kit I have pulled is as described above. Not sure why Ford did this but I believe it holds try for just about all the Windsor series (260, 289, 302 & 351) except perhaps for some early engines... could be wrong but thats my understanding.

    Any chance its a bad fuel regulator? If it was dumping fuel back to the tank would result in low fuel pressure... just a thought.

    Welcome aboard. You found the best resource for early Broncos online. Sign up for contributor status ($12 a year) and then post some pics. 1st step should be make it safe. go thru brakes and steering and suspension. Then figure out what direction you want to take with it...

    Serp belt in range?

    Might not hurt to see if there is a belt one size smaller? Might get some belt stretch which would get you closer to line? maybe they don't stretch... just a thought.

    What Steve said. Hydroboost is the way to go. Got mine from an Astro van. Way better than vacume booster.

    Getting hosed

    Howard, correct me if I'm wrong but you are wanting hoses for the Explorer, reverse rotation serpentine dress, correct? I have kind of an oddball radiator as the inlet and outlet size isn't typical so I had to use flex hoses... from tech right up, see below. Hope it helps. Stock Bronco...
