Anyone else notice faster delivery times when ordering parts?

Last week I ordered a set of gears from Randy's Worldwide in Fresno, Ca, and they arrived the next day. I placed the order around 3:00 PM the day prior. This was the first order I have placed with this company.

Monday I ordered some parts from Wild Horses and they arrived about 24 hrs later. Most of my orders from WH arrive about 2-3 days after ordering.
2-3 days is normal. I consider that pretty quick for parts sent by standard delivery.

Both orders were fairly heavy. I'm guessing that the covid-19 "quarantine" has really Freed up the highways.

Great service from Wild Horses as usual.

I ordered some parts from Summit and they came in a few days. In three different packages from different locations.

I have had the exact opposite results with the post office. bought something on ebay that was suppose to take 2-3 days and it showed up a week late.
Something I shipped hasn't moved in almost 2 weeks... :(

If I order from wh or summit by about 2pm I usually get it the next day. That's as long as the summit parts ship from the sparks location

FedEx, UPS and DHL are rockin' due to the increased residential volumes, though commercial volumes are down in many areas due to the number of retail businesses that are closed. USPS is struggling, particularly with their Priority Mail and Priority Express Mail options, as those have historically all been hauled on commercial passenger flights, many of which are no longer flying. The international stuff through USPS has been even worse...I've had stuff stalled out somewhere between San Francisco and Denmark for weeks now, and while I feel bad for my customer, there's nothing I can do about it now.

I remember ordering from K bar S from 1990-95 when I had my first bronco. I would call them and order the parts over the phone. They would give me the amount due, and I would go to the bank and get a money order and mail it off and wait.

So next day service is amazing!

Shipping is a complete crap shoot for me. I've had two of the same item ordered one day apart that arrived one week apart (and the one that shipped first took the longest).

I live in Connecticut. Everything is delayed a couple days here minimum when ordering on line.

Total crapshoot for me too. I ordered some lights for a headache rack through A'zon on March 31 and it finally shipped yesterday with a delivery date of April 21.

Monday I ordered a set of plug wires from Napa online and they arrived at my door Tuesday afternoon, free overnight shipping!

I think Amazon does that purposely to get you to join they're Prime. I just cancelled an order on Amazon that showed an arrival date of 5 weeks but for an additional fee could be here in 2-3 days.

5 weeks is ridiculous!
I ordered a u joint from Denny's driveshafts in Buffalo, New York. It took about 5 days standard shipping to California. It sounds like Amazon is just taking there sweet time processing orders to non prime customers.

I am a Prime customer and still getting the runaround. I understand them having issues with Covid, but once it ships out of their warehouse, why another 7 days?

I have had several issues with Prime shipments over the last year or so. If I wasn't using their video service I would cancel my Prime membership because the shipping issues have become too unreliable and not worth the cost of the subscription for that alone.
