    Dana 44 Lunchbox Locker prices?!?

Case of protecting their distributors. Other vendors need to take note. Distributors have little desire to push products that their supplier sells for the same or less price than they do. Yukon and motive are master distributors and parts manufacturers. They are the wholesale suppliers to the...

    SET 20 - Install

I've had the retainers to be high difficult to press on. one note about the SET20, the retaining collar is 2x wider than collar for the sealed ball bearing retainer, so it is about 5x harder to put on. I've killed them in other ways but never had a SET20 walk out, makes my spine all tingly and...

The pickup won’t be an issue, you can cut a 3rd if the sump off before that gets in the way. Those pans hold 7 quarts so a significant amount can be cut off before getting below the 5 quart minimum needed to safely run the engine.

    No Brakes

With hydroboost you won’t be disappointed in the power and it will make the pedal feel firmer with less travel. Me I’d get it fully in the road and drive it to make a final decision. One thing is certain, with everything bled and adjusted total brake power will not be an issue.

    No Brakes

That helps. 1-1/8” is what a few if the vendors have been selling to battle the pedal being lower than what people expect. Not a huge issue with hydroboost but it does take more effort for the same braking. That is a bigger issue with vacuum. I know a few that have gone from 31” tires to 35”...

    Transmission oil cooler

Thanks Todd! I was always told the V10 and 6.0 were the same along with the same vintage DuraMax. All of which came about after I stopped working on that stuff for a living lol

    No Brakes

Before we can really make a suggestion for MC bore size, really need to know what you currently have. One of my trucks has a 1-7/16” bore with very close to your brake set up minus the rear disc the pedal only moves about 3/4” and is extremely firm but extremely powerful. So what is acceptable...

Oil pan clearance…. How much do you need?

The bump stops need to dictate that. The axle needs to contact the bump stops 1" before contacting the pan. In a hard hit the bump stops will compress, which they are supposed to. Rough highways are as bad or worse for those impacts than even hard off road unless your running at highway speeds...

Oil pan clearance…. How much do you need?

It can be very close, an aluminum pan needs a little more clearance than a steel pan. For steel literally a sheet of copy paper. For aluminum 1/8-3/16”. Reason being cast aluminum gets hit it cracks, steel get hit it scuffs and deflects.

    No Brakes

ksagis hit what I think the biggest issue is, the parking brake adjustment on the rear calipers. If the master cylinder bore is too small the pedal will be low but it will stop, probably very well, just have more travel than you want.

LS3/6L80e Engine Swap into my 73

the stock height one that I did, I had to go to a steel pan and trim the corner of the pan and trim a web on the housing for everything to clear, its really tight. Unfortunately I'm terrible about taking pics anyway and of things that tend to be frowned on I take even less. Edit: PS- aluminum...
