Motor runs better below full temp

My 302 with a fresh Q-jet carb seems to run a bit stronger or crisply when not a full temp. So, I’ll first take it out it seems to pull harder but as I drive it long enough the motor seems to go kind of flat. The only thing that seems to be a constant is the temp. I have the stock 180 degree...

SOLD Well built true trail truck!

My buddy unfortunately has to sell his trail truck. He is needing another back surgery and he can’t hardly handle sitting in a vehicle for more then a hour let alone trail riding. He built this to off road and didn’t spare anything expense to do it! Only the body he didn’t care about for obvious...

Ok once again the 74 problem child is back at it! The more I drive the truck the brakes get grabby and start to squeak. You let the truck sit a while the brakes feel better. I have a front disc chevy disc brake on version with drums on the back. Everything is new except the vacuum booster...

Anti-sway bars… is Hellwig the only one?

Ok I’m just curious if there is any other options then Hellwig? They are great but they come with a steep price tag. I’m not really needing the quick disconnect version, so it doesn’t make sense to spend all the extra money for it. Thanks Jeff

OH 1966 bench seat cover made with the correct factory upholstery material

My my buddy Joe has his last ‘66 bench seat cover made by my Amish upholstery with the correct SMS materials. This cover pattern was copied off an original ‘66 bench seat cover so it correct! I believe he has sold more then a 1/2 dozen of them here to different members. Anyways it $850 plus...

Clutch forks… difference between 6 cylinder to V8?

Putting a ‘66 V8 truck together and my might have mistakenly grabbed a 6 cylinder (bale spring style) instead of a V8 (bale spring style) clutch fork. Is there a length difference between the two? I know the Z bar clutch linkage is definitely different just not sure about the fork itself...

Wheel Alignment shop who have people used?

Ok I know know this might seem like a silly question but what shop is good enough or experienced enough to deal with and old truck like a Bronco? The toe adjustment is easy for any shop but since there is no camber adjustment on the Dana 44 would they really know what to do with it? Normally...

Bouncy ride with my 2.5 lift

As I’m doing test miles of my family build it’s getting better and better. But my wife really noticed how much bouncier this build is compared to other broncos. I would have to agree with her even my original clapped out 66 U13 ride is less bouncy then my fresh 2.5 lift on my 74. In short new...

‘66 pitman arm bored to fit the larger drag link

Over the years I collected a few stock ‘66 pitman arms. As you guy probably know the 66’s used a slightly small bore for that spring dampened ball joint top of the ‘66 drag link. Anyhow I’d like to get a reaming tool to in large the hole to except the 67 on up drag link ends. Has anyone done...
