MS AODE/4R70W Adapter (new) & Transmission (used)

Purchased new from Advance Adapters. Never installed. Thought I was going to go automatic but I’ve changed my mind. I miss stick shift. Figuring $500 for the adapter and $300 for the trans. -edit: got better trans info posted below- Transmission came out of a running/driving ‘93/‘94 (cusp...

SOLD 1966 9" Rear axle and front Dana 30

I got an upgraded axle set for my build and have these leftover. The rear axle has the forward facing shock mounts and fill plug. 4.11 gears. Small bearing. My pap swapped these axles into his '69 from a donor 25-30 years ago, so I can only assume the front is a '66 as well. It does not...

Started another build...meet the ‘71 Spider

It has been forever since I updated this thread. I’m active on IG Pretty much daily @broncobuildingmom Spider is running and getting the last of the bugs worked out before going on the market. It turned out phenomenal, especially considering this body was in a wreck where it flipped nine...

    Pertronix no spark

I don't know why I forgot about the choke. It just didn't click until putting the coil back in. And it is an aftermarket Edelbrock choke. Contrary to the name, I don't own a '66 anymore. This is the '71, but it has been upgraded in a bunch of areas. I hope this troubleshooting helps others...

    Pertronix no spark

Yes, it was supposed to be a power feed. I saw a black wire and just assumed to put it on the negative side of the coil. I should know by now, never assume, haha. I uploaded the document to my Google drive. Let me know if this doesn't work: Pertronix Ignitor No Start or Poor Run

    Pertronix no spark

Well. Ahem. I'm embarrassed to say that I had the choke on the wrong side of the coil. Either that or fully disassembling this unit and then reassembling fixed the problem. I tested the coil on my husband's Mustang and that fired right over, so I reinstalled it on the Bronco and left the...

    Pertronix no spark

Exactly. But this new set of troubleshooting directions ends with "If total resistance is incorrect, then either the coil will need to be changed or a ballast resistor added." No specification on what type of coil. I do expect the coil to be replaced. I'm going to be miffed if they simply...

    Pertronix no spark

I can get a pic if needed, its simply the top of the magnetic pickup should match the top of the module. Mine didn't so I pulled up the magnetic about 1/4". Though that wasn't the problem. Would have been a nice easy fix!

    Pertronix no spark

Dirk Donk, you are very thorough and helpful, thank you. Pertronix did send me several checks to go through. The module seems fine according to the tests. The coil is the only thing that tested out of spec. It was supposed to read 1.5-3.5 ohms across the terminals and it only reads 1.1...

    Pertronix no spark

Though I've been to the roundup, that wasn't me having problems with Pertronix before. This is the first I've run the system. But this quote makes me question...my Bronco is a '71 and had the points. No ignition module. I thought that was for the Duraspark ignition only. Now I'm gonna feel...

    Pertronix no spark

I have a new Blueprint 302 with Centech harness and upgraded to Pertronix and the flamethrower coil. I am not getting any spark. The distributor plate has proper grounding. The coil is supplied with 12v (no ballast resistor or resistor wire used). It is gapped to .030. There's really...

SOLD Slotted Mag Wheel, Jeep CJ style

PA Original hard top, best offer to good home

Please don't scrap. I will figure out coming down sometime to get it if it comes to that. I'm about 2 hours away. I want a rusted hardtop like that eventually to cutup for an extended half cap type project. I'm not ready for it yet, but I will make time if it saves it from being scrapped.

Started another build...meet the ‘71 Spider

Fender skirts cut and bent. Heater box cleaned and painted. Just received the drivers kickpanel in the mail so I can finish working on the cowl. It was just too far gone to save and too complicated for me to feel comfortable making at home. Everyday I try to accomplish something. I want to...

Started another build...meet the ‘71 Spider

Ran out of room for pictures. Ebrake lever was rusted fast. Needling broke it loose and now it’s working great and painted. Also I got some patches bent and back in the drivers side. Called it quits at 11pm last night. Covered a bunch of unneeded holes in the firewall. I debated a long...

Started another build...meet the ‘71 Spider

Spider is really coming along. I have been updating daily on instagram since it’s so easy to upload and post. Follow all the updates @broncobuildingmom. Passenger door post was repaired and set. Measurements and test door fit look good. The drivers side has a lot more issues and I hit a...

Started another build...meet the ‘71 Spider

Perfect PA weather today so I got outside and sanded down the hood. No prior patching. It needs a little skim coating in a couple areas, 2-3 dings repaired, and a little repairing along the front. Overall a good piece of original steel. The tailgate is absolutely beautiful. Best one I’ve...

For those interested, I started an instagram to follow the build as well. It’s under broncobuildingmom Steering components were put on and the stabilizer shock. It’s a whole new power steering set up. I got another set of nice fenders from Nick. I was not happy with the amount of bondo and...
