Thank paco. I bought JB today. I'm gonna try that first. If it doesnt work, I'll buy a new sending unit & hope I can get everything in and out ok. If not I'll fill the tank with water (after drying), cut the hitch off and put a new 23 gal in. Hopefully the JB will work from the outside.

Thanks. If the JB weld will last 3 or 4 years. I think I'll go that route for now. Who knows what I'll do with the truck over that period of time. Maybe new bumpers, new 23 gal tank, etc. At toms, he said I could remove the extra (return)rubber tube and cap the line off at that point or...

Spoke with Toms. They said that in 1973 they installed sending units with a "return gas line to allow excess fuel to drain back into the tank". He said they didnt have any sending units with the two tubes. Does anyone know where I could buy one in the event the "JB Weld" doesnt worK. Thanks Ed
