    King Pin Rebuild

Thanks all..my D30 is in great shape aside from these KP, not planning on anything extreme so the D44 will have to wait till its needed. Plus I have everyting I need except for the dampeners. Anyone know if the pins have a taper to them? Or a way to remove the races without punching them through...

    King Pin Rebuild

1970 D30 #1 The KP bearings are obviously shot. I take it there's no way to remove the bearings, race & seal without removing and probably damaging the dampeners? #2 The KP caps look either worn or possibly tapered? I can only find used?? Anyone know where to get these?

Thanks everyone for your input and Explorer for the Pic ...that is exactly what I was going to do. Door inserts and all. I'll probably have the hood painted however. Who 'ya gonna call?

I just dropped out the D20 TC from my 1970. That is one heavy Mutha'. Anyway, I'm going to buy the rebuild kit 'cause it looks like this thing has been leaking from everywhere for years. I may try it myself but probably won't get the oppurtunity...who will do this work ? A transmission guy?

Hey thanks for the insight. My intent was to build a 351 on the side after I determined what condition this 302 is in and if it's OK I'll keep it running long enough to get the 351. Can't really afford to rebuild two. I can turn the crank by hand but really don't know what this mothers been...

Picked up a 71 a few mnths ago but just took the cover off it this week. Had to get the kids 65 Jeep P/U going first. Anyway, I need to start on the 302. My plan is to rebuild it but I'm looking for a vidoe guide. Anyone ever seen one?
