    NC SOLD - 1977 Bronco

Selling my 77 Bronco. Maybe asking too much, not sure, I think most of the time we think our trucks are worth more than they really are because of the sweat and tears we pour into them, but I see them anywhere from $2k to $20K+. This isn't a frame off resto but it has very little surface rust...

Front disc's. got new rotors and brake pads, just need to get a Hanes manual to figure out how to take everything apart, never changed floating brakes before.

Violent shaking (death wobble?) fixed, still vibrates at high speeds

Thanks for all the info guys, the steering wheel doesn't vibrate, I feel it everywhere else though. Doesn't seem to get worse with accel but I usually don't get past 65 mph. Decel is a diff story, entire truck pulsates when braking (no shaking steering wheel), hoping that is a rotor issue which...

Violent shaking (death wobble?) fixed, still vibrates at high speeds

So background: shortly after using fix-a-flat I noticed intense shaking at around 55-60 mph and figured it was the fix-a-flat so got new tires, same size 33x12.5 and shaking still persisted. Checked the trak bar bushing and they look brand new from PO. Took it to Pep Boys who charged me ~$60 to...

    servo controlled heater box

I've been thinking of doing the same thing but not too much luck when searching. Vintage Air sells an electric control valve ~$90, so that takes care of one of the three cable controls, but nothing for the actual box itself. I'm thinking a simple push/pull motor could be screwed to the box next...

    Bronco techs in Raleigh, NC?

mdbowles, I'm moving to Fayetteville area and will be interested if you locate a good shop. I got my tranny done at a local shop here in Augusta and will probably have them rebuild the engine too before I move up there, but installing a different tranny or an EFI install is more than what I'm...

Reservoir tank on passenger firewall w/ hoses to gas tanks?

Thanks, yeah there is a hose form the canister to the breather, but I'm looking at upgrading the intake and carb to a 4bbl w/ round air cleaner that won't have that connection.

Reservoir tank on passenger firewall w/ hoses to gas tanks?

Thanks guys, makes sense. So I guess my next question is can I remove the charcole canister from the engine compartment and put a smaller charcole filter on the frame under the bronco, around where the two hoses from the tanks connect. or can I safely remove those hoses completely and cap the...

Reservoir tank on passenger firewall w/ hoses to gas tanks?

Hoping someone can help with this, I have a '77 and in the engine compartment there is a plastic reservoir tank on the passenger firewall with hoses running along the fame to the main and aux gas tanks. The reservoir tank is empty and these aren't the fuel lines. Not sure what they would be for...

    Saginaw to stock PS

Bob, I'm in the middle of the same upgrade. I got a dual return Sag pump from a junk yard. For the high pressure hose, you will need an adaptor since the Saginaw pump has a female inlet and the stock EB hose is female too. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find local stores that sell the connector...

    FYI Saginaw Pulley Part #

Part #'s still good just a little more expensive now. Napa 73077 is $19.99 + shipping and Rock Auto is $17.60 + shipping.

Altenator dead. Lets replace it wih a 3G.

Dude, just go to the local slavage/u-pull-it yard and grab a couple of alternators there, be cheaper than buying one new. Easiest car I saw was the late 93-99 Taurus 3.0, alt is right on top and easily accessed, plus there was like 10 of them at the yard. Took two of them for ~ $50. Any parts...
