Black seats with white backing out of 70 Bronco. Need upholstering, otherwise in pretty good shape.

I have the original seats out of my 1970 Bronco. I thought I may want to reupholster them someday, but I'm tired of tripping over them in my garage. Anyone in the Olympia, Wa. area wanting them can have them. I'd like to see them used, rather than hauled away.

Thank you, this is the kind of info I need. However, it's still kind of a trial and error for me. Park will work some of the time but not all of the time. Are you saying use park until both twin sticks are in gear, then go to neutral?

Neutral, park, rolling....whatever seems to work without grinding.

I remember some advice about twin stick shifting, but now I can't find it. I installed a JB twin stick in my 70 with an AOD tranny that had a J shift. It works better, but not what I was hoping. I can get it in all the positions, but it ain't easy. Any tips here would be greatly appreciated.

Consumer reports rate the Costco battery very high. Any thoughts on this ( I need one)?

I am having a devil of a time pin pointing this leak (its really crowded under there). I have a 70 with a converted AOD and fabricated shift lever to the column. Best I can tell the leak originates right where the lever goes into the tranny. It doesn't have to be running or moving to drip. This...

I just installed twin sticks thinking that life would become so much easier. There has definitely been improvement over the J shifter, but it still ain't easy. I'll try any and all of your techniques.

Maybe you're right, I've not actually gotten my credit card statement. I did get a confirmation from the vendor showing the charge. Maybe I can still cancel. Still seems like poor business; there was no mention that the parts were unavailable when I placed the order.

They've already charged my credit card for all the stuff, including the Spindles. Lesson learned I guess!

Anyone else experiencing problems getting new spindles for disc brake conversions? They have been on order for 2 weeks, and I just learned from a buddy that his have been on back order for over 3 weeks. Seems like bad business to advertise something you can't deliver. Am I missing something here?
