AOD with AA dana 20 kit question...

If I had the Art Carr AOD with AA kit installed that BCB sells...and I have a dana 20, will they just bolt together, or is there something else that has to be done (machining, disassembly, etc.)? The reason I'm asking is because I found a shop that sells the aod with adapter installed and they...

AOD with AA dana 20 kit question...

If you have the AA dana 20 kit put on an AOD (kind of like the Art Carr AOD that BCB sells)...will the dana 20 simply bolt right up, or is there more to it?

    What automatic transmission?

Like G's Baja Bronco said - "AOD 91 to 93 with 4RW70 internals (1998 and up) you get lower first and second gears plus the mechanical diode." All the benefits of the 4RW70, but without the electronics..it uses a detent cable instead.

    Explorer swap sensor confusion!!

Broncobowsher..do you run the explorer engine, if so what MAF do you run... Viper...are you willing to run the 94-95 70mm MAF on your vehicle. If so could you report back any significant changes? i.e. idle, surgine, mpg, etc. You can get them used on ebay for around $40 and probably dirt...

    Explorer swap sensor confusion!!

Can you really compare those numbers, since the computers were matched to the MAF and they all used different computers?????? I think the proof is there...both Stretch and Lars tried the larger MAF sensors and they didn't work (without a custom tune in Lars' case). I guess the real question...

    Explorer swap sensor confusion!!

Do you think that running with a mismatched MAF/PCM combo causes the computer to run closed loop (off O2 sensors), that's why people are having surge problems? "In CL mode, the ECU will continually cycle the A/F ratio lean, then rich, over and over, hovering the A/F ratio closely around the...

    Explorer swap sensor confusion!!

-Stock 5.0L 55MM MAF (89-93 Mustangs) flows 606 CFM. -Stock 5.0L 60 MM TB flows 526 CFM. -A 300 cubic inch engine (302 c.i.) flows 521 CFM at 6,000 rpm. -I can't find any flow ratings on the explorer 70mm TB, but bases off other TBs, it's probably around 700 CFM. These are numbers I found on...

97 Explorer factory intake tube/filter assembly

http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=175289 Please read this post...The transfer data for all of those 70mm MAF sensors is not the same as that of the A9* computer. Although it would probably work, it is not optimal.
