GA Need Parts for V8 Conversion

Thanks for the feedback. I will follow up. My thought was to get a rear end geared correctly for the v8 and maybe get disk brakes at the same time. For the front, I thought that an upgrade to the Dana 30 to a dana 44 would be the proper move

4.0 Radiator 4.0 radiator for what year/model? Are there any adapter kits to use it in the EB or do I need to create hangers?

Explorer vs. New V8 Conversion Radiator

I picked up a 1998 5.0 EFI for my 1966 inline 6 conversion project. I got a good used Explorer radiator as part of the deal. What are thoughts on using the Explorer radiator versus buying on of the Griffin, etc. conversion radiators? I would love to save the $$ and reuse what I have.

    New member - V8 swap

Also Just Starting WE can build notes together. Lots of good info on the site about swaps. Take s a while to find it all. I am starting with a 1998 Explorer 5.0 and r470W tranny. Gary, on this site, has been recommended to me as the go to guy for the wiring harness and ECU reprogram. I'm still...

i6 to EFI 5.0 Upgrade Axle Question

More Information Sorry for the incomplete picture......yes it is a 1966.....I am going to use it as an around town/beach vehicle, so no heavy rock climbing. Tires will be on the smaller side but I have not investigated specifics yet -- sounds like that is a next stop. I am assuming 31's? I will...

i6 to EFI 5.0 Upgrade Axle Question

I am laying out my i6 to 5.0 upgrade project. Originally I had lined up a pair of DANA 44's out of a 77 Bronco, front and rear that would have given me the discs up front and nice gearing. But that fell through. Is it possible to stick with the orignial 6 cylinder axles and just do a disck...

    5.0 EFI COnversion Project Questions

Thank you This is extremely helpful to get me started. The fab side of things is not an issue. Good to go on that. I just want it to be as clean as possible. Picking up on the advice of one of the more seasoned members, I am trying to acquire all of the major parts before starting.

    5.0 EFI COnversion Project Questions

Well.....after getting some initial guidance from reading a lot on this board, I have officially started my project. My starting materials are a rust free 1966, 6 cylinder bronco, and, a crate rebuilt 1998 year model 5.0 from a Mercury Mountaineer that had 30,000 miles on before a big rear end...

    Newbie Build - Advice Please

Changing to Dana 44 My thinking on this is that I want disks up front, which I will get with the newer axles. So for the price of a disk brake kit for the original axle, I get two updated axles with disks up front (rear will still be drum). Does this make sense?

    Newbie Build - Advice Please

First of all, thanks for all the great threads. Very helpful reading so far. Specific build base vehicle: 1966 Bronco, 6 cyl, 3 spd, very solid body (why I purchased it). Expected Use: Around town cruiser, beach, shorter highway trips (200 miles to get to other beaches), no rock crawling. What I...
