Well today I noticed this gouging in the right axel end. It's not where the bearing seats but the lock ring I think. There's no damage to either the old bearing or lock ring, is this gonna be an issue, is it fixable? Im thinking the axel retainer was loose at some point, not sure. Thanks

Air hammer! Never had to remove studs before.

Probably should have mentioned this in the beginning. The bolt broke off when I removed the center. Is there a fix for this?

oven cleaner and power washer combo work really well. One application it melted the grease away. I'll check out those YT videos soon hopefully. Work has been super busy lately. Here's a pic after using oven cleaner

I ordered the 9" Master rebuild kit, 2.89". Does anyone know of a good thread on rebuilding these 9" rears with the proper specs? Also, any good techniques on getting these parts clean enough to paint? I got them pretty good with a wire brush and degreaser foam but still not good enough for...

Rebuilding rear end. The pinion bearings were bad, axel bearings bad, was also leaking from the rear differential seal (years from the looks of it), here some pics of the seal I cannot find, does anyone know where I can find this seal, and what it's called exactly?? Thanks in advance
