Frame off - the lazy way

Bear with me while I wrap my head around my future Bronco plan. I have been watching the listings for fully restored Bronco's that have been listed for sale on Bat, Facebook, craigslist, etc and it seems that I will be in this for $60-75k if I go that route. That's a lot of money but I am...

    New Chassis/Body

Thanks for all the input. I am a classic researchaholic and this is feeding the beast, lol. We have to build our new house before I move on the the bronco purchase so I have the luxury of time before I decide what my path will be. Cheers!

    New Chassis/Body

Thanks for the replies and the thinking material. In Washington State you can register and title a homemade vehicle (usually done with trailers but applies equally to cars & trucks) if you have it inspected by the state patrol and can show them a bill of sale for all of the materials.

So I hope this topic does not offend the eb purist. I am interested in a buying an early bronco. My family had one when I was learning to drive then I had one when I was first out on my own back in the late 80's. Now I'm in my 50's with some money in my pocket and I'd like to have an early...

    Feature Chart

Is there a chart on this site or out on the interwebs that breaks down the standard features of the early broncos by years?

    Which Engine?

I certainly wouldn't say 'no limit' but I want to have a problem free engine. What about the intake manifold replacement setups that have fuel injection?

    Which Engine?

So I'm looking for an explorer/mountaineer with a 5.0 motor? Yes on the automatic for sure. The overdrive would be a nice bonus.

    Which Engine?

OK - I know this is like asking which flavor of ice cream is best - I get it, lol!!! But....I am thinking ahead for my future bronco purchase and one of the I items I want in it or will make the swap myself is a nice easy driver fuel injected motor. I will not off-road the bronco any more than...

    Winesalot Introduction

Hi, I thought I would introduce myself and share my reason for being on this site. Growing up we owned a bronco with a 3 On The Tree. I learned to drive in a field out behind the house in that rig. After I left home and was in the Navy, I bought a 68 Bronco which was somewhere around 1987...
