windshield frame to door frame measurement

finally worked things enough to get the gaps within 1/8 inch of each other. After a lot of measuring and looking things over, I noticed that although I braced and supported everything, The cowl still flexed enough to throw the gaps off a little, even thougheverything x'd out and measured...

windshield frame to door frame measurement

What is the correct gap between the windshield frame and the window frame on the doors? On my drivers side I have about a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom and it narrows as it goes up. The pass.side is about an 1/8 inch but is about the same as it goes up. I replaced the kick panel and door post on...

    c4 tranny help

does anyone have any pictures of how the modulatorvalve steel vacuum line mounts to the transmission. I think mine somehow got twisted and bent out of shape because it does not seem to want to fit good without re- bending it in different places. Also need to know what the mod.valve bracket...

    Door skins

Has anyone used the AM full door skins available from Jeff's or Duffs? How is the fit as far as hinge holes and the lip that folds over the door frame. I am wondering if the skins are too long or to short, as I had this problem with AM 1/4 panels.

    Rear corners /tail light assembly

Corners are welded on. If you are replacing them, try to find some good ones on a scrapped tub. The aftermarket ones are junk. They do not have the flange that welds to the 1/4 panel. there is extra metal but you have to bend the flange. the tabs for the tallight mounting will have to be cut...

    Questions about frame off restoration...

If you have room I would keep it all inside. If you leave it out , covered with a tarp, the tarp could also hold moisture in. Depends on what part of the country you're in too.

    rusted body

Photos would help us helpyou as NorCal,70 said. It also depends what you want to do with it, and what you are capable of doing. I do this bodywork everyday for living and I have a Bronco that was a total rust bucket. I have replaced about every piece of sheetmetal in the tub and it's not an...

    Pulley/Balancer questions

If your engine is an '80 or earlier it uses a 28oz balancer. 81 up is 50 oz. Look for a 3 bolt from a 69 or earlier 289-302 Mustang, cougar or Fairlane-Torino. Same with the pulleys. Ps cars had 2 groove pulleys. AC cars had 3 and non powered cars had 1. These cars all had the water pump outlet...

    chevy 350 in a bronco

Why would you want to ruin a Bronco by dropping a totally worthless boat anchor under the hood? I Guess it would raise the value of a chevy product. ;D

    where to get parts???

I've ordered many things from Jeff's over the years and have had pretty good luck. the only times I had problems were with the OEM style rockers (ordered in Oct. of2002 and still on back order) and was told when I ordered a taillight corner it was a "World class quality part" and is all that is...

check these pics out and advice (body work)

How is the 1/4 panel seam at the top of the 1/4. If it is rusty you might have to replace the entire panel. If it is solid I would do like 2bad said and flange the panel and weld in a patch. I had to use aftermarkets on mine an it was a headache all the way . The drivers side I had to re bend...

    1968 Bronco trivia

68 Cougars were available with390's. 1968 was the first year for the 302. It is possible to find a 68 302 block with 289 heads, crank, etc. When 289 blocks were used up at Ford the new production blocks (302) were built using the 289 leftover internals and heads. 302 blocks have longer...
