    help for a squirrely ride

Interesting. That's about the same spread as he told me but he said more on the passenger side. I can see the crown in the rd making a difference. Seems like it would be the same for a race track. Thanks!

    help for a squirrely ride

Thanks! My trex arms came today so now I just need some time off to try them out. The alignment surprised me with the differing numbers on each side. But I like the fact that now with the ttrx arms I can adjust independently. Plus the alignment guy says I need more on the passenger side for some...

    help for a squirrely ride

Thanks for all the detailed info. I can assure you I'm not ignoring yours or anyone else's information on here. I'm on here to learn and how to improve my bronco. As far as anybody in my state wanting a wristed axle I can say It's been years since I've seen another bronco around here. I built...

    help for a squirrely ride

I wasn't expecting such a difference between the left and right on the caster. I guess it's because of the wristed housing. So do I try to correct just one side? That doesn't seem right. Or am I back to replacing the housing? Or pinning it. But then how do I know I'm pinning it in the right place?

    GA Bc broncos spring rockers

I dunno if these are even a thing anymore but I took them offy bronco to get a little better street manners. They are old but my bronco sat for a long time so very little miles and wear. 100?

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Yea I guess things can be off like that. My old bronco was about the same suspension and tire wise but I did have a wore out 302 and my bronco now has a built 393. So there's that and the fact that I'm 20 yrs older andaybe not the cowboy I once was. Plus after not driving an eb for that long...

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Well that sounds more doable. Mine is def a pavement princess. I won't even take her out in a rain. 4x4 will be as wasted as the lockers that are in her

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Thanks for all the good info. I get it. I don't want to but I get it. I've been working on this bronco for almost 20 yrs. I'm 53 and I've long since lost the thrill and satisfaction of building it. I'm ready to get some enjoyment out of it and it seems like one thing after another right here at...

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Dang that's a lot of mods. Major surgery. I didn't have to go through all this with my first bronco. It drove fine even with the spring rockers and extended arms .Sounds like a thousand dollars for each move that may or may not be the answer.

And what do you mean cut and turn? The pads for the c bushings?

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Geez all that for a 2.5? So eccentrics? I'm guessing that's for radius arm bushings? Not sure I've heard the term. And what is a wedge? New to me also. My old bronco had extended arms , I don't remember the degree of the bushings and the same lift and it drove fine. Not perfect but good enough...

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Yea like I said even then it was asking a lot. I wonder if they can even measure it here. What size lift are you running? It's been so long ago I don't even remember what c bushings I used. I thought 6 was as big as they made

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Yea I did set the tow in myself with angle iron bungied to the tires. I'm sure it's not perfect but I know it's close. Dunno how far out it's got to be to get the wandering issue. I don't think I have ever seen a shop competent enough (or cared enough) to change out the c bushings for caster...

    GA Bc broncos spring rockers

I dunno if these are a thing anymore but I don't have a use for them . They are old but not many miles and never wheeled hard.

That's prolly gonna be my plan but I do worry about finding a good shop around here. Nobody knows how to work on something old anymore. Thanks!

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Honestly it's been so long ago I installed the riser I don't know which brand it is. I've ordered A LOT from whs so that's prolly what I have now. Maybe I should investigate the pitman arm. I have the stone crusher steering links which flattened that angle a lot. Maybe too much

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

Yea I think I'm gonna get it aligned and address the caster and toe issues before putting this on. Geometry is out but bumpsteer doesn't seem to be an isssue

Duffs drop track bar bracket install advice

My bronco was a lot squirrelly. I removed my spring rockers and repositioned my shocks from inboard back to factory position and it got MUCH better. But not perfect. At higher speeds it wanders a bit. I'm thinking probably caster or toe is out but I haven't taken it to get aligned yet due to...
