Since the rental is under a contract, your personal auto insurance will cover the vehicle but these companies also offer liability and damage insurance. I would suggest purchasing the coverage since it probably insures the vehicle for a certain value. Hagerty has an option for event rental if it wont be driven around or you can even have the owner chauffeur you around for an extra fee
I rented a truck from LUSO which is a company that rents vehicle through TURO, a car sharing marketplace, in cities like San Diego, Las Vegas, and Honolulu. I was just on his site as I need a car in October in San Diego and noticed a bunch of new options. Then I see the word Bronco pop up twice
