Update.
It works... But....

Everything is working. The brakes have plenty of stopping power. Easily locks up all 4 ties when pushed hard.

That's the good news

The not as good news... The pedal is a bit softer than I expected. In that I can push that pedal down to the floor if I want. At that point, all tires are locked up though. I'm assuming the master could have indeed benefited from being bigger.

My 2015 f150 actually feels similar though. Soft pedal when pushing on it, but stops HARD when asked to.

So, at this point I'm calling it a success. I'm not afraid at all to drive this thing. But.. I'll be keeping a close eye on everything too. I mean worse case scenario, I can still fab up on of those spacer adapters everybody uses and switch to a bigger master. But I'll keeping it as is for now at least.

Pics to follow.

Might be just the ticket for use with the smaller Ford calipers. Maybe?
I forgot if you said, but what rear brake setup are you using?

I just looked back and didn't see it mentioned what front calipers you're using. Did I miss it?

GM front disks. Stock Ford 9" rear drums. A disk/drum prop valve and also added a RPV for the rear circuit.

For GM calipers Ø1.125" would be the minimum m/c bore size IMHO. You're at Ø1.063" Doesn't seem like it's that far off, but it is.

This fix has so far turned out to be quite simple... I had to do something I was hoping to avoid... An adjustable main pushrod. Now, I cannot push the pedal to the floor. I was hoping the f250 hydroboost would not need an adjustable pushrod. Perhaps with a larger master it wouldn't, but with this master It did. The extra 3/8" has made a world of difference.

I have been thinking of doing this very thing. I pulled a SD and Mustang Hydroboost from the JY. The SD is from an 09 and is in really good shape. In my case I was going to swap the pushrods and use the SD unit since it's 11 years newer. Question, what proportioning valave did you use?

I used the front brake conversion kit from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard. The one that came with a proportioning valve in the kit already. As such, I don't know much about the specific valve it came with. Other than It read on their site that it is compatible with a front disk/rear drum setup.

That's the typical aftermarket one that all the vendors sell and the one I have as well. Good to know! Thanks!
