Is your Bronco stock height or lifted?
Are the fenders as original, or cut and flared?
Or some variation thereof?

I know that doesn’t answer your question directly, but it helps anyone who’s got that tire and wheel combination better describe how it might fit in your case.

I have a 3 1/2” suspension with 1” body and running Dennis carpenter flared rear quarters also running a Dana 44 out of a 77 bronco with disc brakes front and back.

I recently installed Raceline 935MC -79055-12 with 315/70 and only minor rubbing at full turn on radius arms. That is with 3-1/2" WH coils in front and 2.5" WH leafs in rear, no body lift, hope that helps.

Usually a 17 inch wheel will clear the steering knuckles and tie rods on a 77 front end. But you might have to check that, because it’s not a universal truth.
It took awhile, but I believe we have heard of some people here with fitment issues, with a thick cast wheel, and the low clearance area of the tie rod.

Nothing to do with the tire rubbing on the sheet metal. Everything to do with the wheel clearing the steering linkage.

I have converted to the T-style adjustable linkage, the wheels I’m looking at are used on the velocity broncos, I have reached out to them multiple times without any response if that is the wheel they are using on their builds. My concern with the wheels is the backspace I believe with the -12mm offset the say the back space is 4 1/2”.

That’s great that you updated your linkage. But did you change your knuckles from the 76/77 model, to an earlier or different style?
In other words, are you running the 77 Ford Bronco disc brakes still?

Haven’t started on replacing all the front linkage on my 77 but without looking at the WH boxes I’m thinking I got the heavy duty set. Is this gonna cause a problem if I keep my stock Bronco front disc setup?

That’s the point I’m trying to make.
The 76 and 77 steering knuckles have steering arms (the part where the tie rod attaches) that are angled differently than all other years Broncos and F150s.
This puts the steering tie rod end in very close proximity to the wheel edge. On 15 inch wheels, this is a game changer. Anything over 3 5/8 inch backspacing is questionable for clearance.
Some 16 inch wheels occasionally get by, and 17 inches wheels get passed this interference more often.
But any with more than 3 3/4” backspace and you still have to test the specific wheel on the front to see how close it is.
If it doesn’t hit or rub, you’re good to go.

Phew!!! Thank goodness, Paul! Maybe I shouldn’t panic so easily before I get clarification on an issue. I’ve got 17s to replace those 15” rims with the Q buckshot mudders on it now. Was afraid of having to spend more $$$ for rims, and right now is no bueño for that.

Well, where's the pics Dutchie! ;) :D
Which style wheel did you go with, and what's the backspace?
If no pics yet, do you have a link to the style of wheel where we can check it out?

Thanks. Glad they fit and you're happy with the purchase.

Hey Paul, not sure how to post pictures, but the wheel I choose was Ar 172 baja American racing 17x8” with 0 offset giving it a 4 1/2” backspace. I like how they fit because the rim bead runs flush with the front fender so it has the slightest tire poke!
