1966 U14 Rangoon Red Uncut Frame-off - $36k - POST UPDATED WITH NEW WORK DONE
I just bought another rig so I’m going to sell one of my 66s to make some room in the garage. I bought it a couple of years ago as a partially finished project. Previous owner did all body, paint, mechanical work. They were not 66 fanatics like I am, so there are some non 66 modifications. Frame-off. Lots of new sheet metal (grill, hood, both front fenders, front floor, both rear fenders) I’ve enjoyed doing lots of the finishing bolt on stuff. I’ve got more pics than you’d know what to do with, but happy to share. Original drive-train. Straight six. Manual 3 on the tree. Manual drum brakes. I’m a collector, not a flipper, so I’ll tell you anything you want to know. Here’s the list I’ve tracked, I know I’ve missed some stuff.
Full repaint to factory original color
15” Steelies - blasted & powder coated (UPDATED FROM ORIGINAL LISTING)
New Power King Super Traction 7.00 x 15 Tires
Body off frame
Frame blasted & painted
Tranny, transfer case, front & rear driveshafts painted
New poly body mounts & hdw
New springs
New shocks
New brake lines
New hood
New grill
New front fenders
New rear fenders
New windshield glass and gasket
New gas tank and fuel lines
New period correct exhaust
Original 66 vacuum wiper motors refinished, new tubing & connectors installed
New period correct 66 visors & hardware
New Scott Drake chrome headlight bezels
New chrome taillight bezels
New driver side fresh air intake box
New front & rear show quality bumpers & hdw
New tailgate letters
New SS door inserts & hardware
New OEM correct floor mat
New driver & passenger factory correct side view mirrors
New factory correct shift boot
New glove box liner
New front fender & grill hardware
New vented SS gas cap
New chrome lug nuts on all wheels
New dash brackets & hdw
New fender emblems
New washer fluid bag & bracket
New headlight knob & stick, emergency flasher knob, Cigarette lighter bezel & knob, Transfer case shift knob
New lower front fender brackets
All new 66 period correct dash knobs
New Battery & hold down kit
New Wiper arms & blades
Biggest issues: The tailgate and dash was painted by someone else than painted the rest of the Bronco, and there are a few "runs" in the paint under the tailgate letters and one of the knobs on the dash. Only noticeable up close and could likely be cut down by a wet sand and paint correction. The very front of the driver side frame rail is "crinkled" from what I assume was a crash that resulted in the need for the new grill, hood, front fenders. Bottom corners of doors could be adjusted to fit better, but they’re not off by much. Steering box could probably be rebuilt, it drives fine but more loose than I’d like. Bulkhead needs painted and installed. I’ve got two different half cab tops and will send one of the buyers choice with the rig. One has been blasted and needs prep, paint and glass. The other has been repainted and is pretty good condition, just not nearly as nice as the Bronco.
