1969 possible purchase... Need Advice

New to the forum and wanted to get some advice from some "bronco pros"

This would be my first project bronco and needed advice on making a possible purchase. I found this online yesterday and have been talking to the gentleman about coming to view it in person. He is asking $5,000 but says he is negotiable. He sent these pics and I wanted to get advice on if it's worth this price based on these pics. It has been painted with a durabak coating that does not scratch but says it can be removed with a wire wheel if I want to paint it another color. It has not been cut in anyway and I am wanting to style it in the same color and look as the icon bronco that is online in the volcanic grey. Any advice, comments, etc. are all welcome as I am new to this hobby but have always wanted an older body style bronco. It has a 351 Windsor motor that he says runs great. Thanks in advance and really enjoy the forum and viewing the other projects and ideas on here.
Pics to follow once I learn how to attach them on here.

Pull up the carpet and see what the floors are like. Be carfull as that finish can hide ALOT if sins. Bondo rot ect.

The frame looks a bit crusty. With that said the price seems reasonable. I would go look for sure.

P.s. some of us where debating on if he wears a tin foil hat. Let us know.

I'm thinkin' that motor looks a little too narrow to be a 351W.

Too many questionables for me.

Well, it's less than I paid for mine and in about the same shape. What's difficult to tell is if the coating covered any significant rust. I would poke around the rockers (inner and outer) and the cowl a little and see if the coating is hiding significant rust. Also bring a magnet. It won't stick to bondo. As Blue said pull up the floor coverings and see what's under there, that's a good indication of the rest of the truck. It looks like it's a good driver, and a good foundation for a restoration. Always offer less and see what he says.
