I've used a timing light to time my engine for several cars/trucks. '75 F250, '79 F350, '67 Mustang.

I can't find a timing marker on my 1970 Bronco. There's nothing there. Is there a bracket I'm missing? A mount for screws I'm missing?

Send a couple of pics to deleted.

(...If your 67 Mustang is a 289, it uses exactly the same damper and timing cover and pointer.)

Thank you, James! OK, so here are a couple photos I can post. I *think* I can see a pointer? Never seen it before and I had looked years ago; and doesn't seem to look like what I was expecting per an old manual (I looked at years ago). First photo is for reference--looking above from a bit over toward the front driver's side. Second photo is perhaps the pointer. Or some sharp piece of metal!

I can see the pointer. It is a sharp piece of metal. And a pointer. The damper will have the timing marks and degrees.

I circled it here.
