1970 bellhousing compatable with a 97'explorer 302?

Yes, should be the same bolt pattern to the engine block. Same 164t flywheel for the larger clutch and to work with the starter, but with the later 50oz imbalance factor rather than the old 28oz of course.
Hopefully 904Bronco will see this. He's recently done a couple of manual trans Explorer engines. He'd know if there is anything tricky with the starter.
