• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

1971 Ford Bronco Four Wheel Camper. A one-owner Bronco, that was treated to a special ordered Four Wheel Campers Pop-up in '83. Bronco and camper in exceptional shape. 159k miles. Entire Bronco is original and unrestored and well maintained. All maintenance and improvements are logged in a mileage logbook going back to 1250 miles in the fall of '71. Bronco was ordered new in Philadelphia by the owner when he was in the service. It was driven to California the following summer and lived the rest of it's life in Los Angeles. This Bronco Camper recently completed a 362 mile trip flawlessly. It's ready to drive and camp with working: stoves, cooler, beds (sleeps 3 adults, or 2 adl, 2 chld), water tank, propane tank, and sink with hand pump. AM/FM Cassette, 12V charger, and dual batteries. It's rare to find a Bronco this original, let alone a Four Wheel Camper. They are available together only - will not separate. Camper was installed at the Distribution center in LA for Four Wheel Campers and is a pro-install; never been off. I"ve only found 12 or less of these campers in the past 10 years, and only know of 4 that are in campin' condition. Full documents back to day one on both camper and Bronco. For 77 Hi-res pics, please see: http://www.BajaBronco.com/Pictures/Camper

I'm not keeping this one because I'm already almost done with my camper I started building last year and have a blast with it. Check out our trip from last Summer:http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123795&highlight=bronco+road+trip+camper

To answer a few questions:

- under the blue covers on the lower bed/couch in the back is the original ORange/red/brown colored cushions. They are actually in pretty good shape, but were covered recently by the orig owner. I guess they were too '70s? In my mind you can't shake the 70s vibe with these campers, but it's all good.

- Motor runs great and doesn't tick, miss, or blow smoke. Pulled up grapevine hill and hwy 152 mountain passes just fine, no downshifting or bogging.

- My feeling is that this package in this shape would be worth around 12000, but like many say, things are only worth what people are willing to pay and I can't keep both campers.. ..(tho I'd love to)

- Other options on it that people were asking about: Someone saw Stroppe Steel wheels, they are similar but were purchased from Dick Cepek in the late 70s when the truck was cut. Rear springs were re-arched and leafs added by Deaver in LA. Front springs are Dick Cepek. Sway bars are Addco. 23 gallon rear tank was also added at time of Camper install in the early 80s. It is a NWMP tank much like I bought last year for my camper.

- Doors open and shut easily and hinges nor posts have any play.

- It is still single exhaust and rather quiet on the highway, stock manifolds.

let me know what else! Will try and post pics of rear couch with covers off. Thanks!

Andrew, that looks awesome. I was at the MEB Roundup and was talking to Nick about his camper, and it turned out his camper was the same one I was looking into buying last year.

Times are tough and I am dumping money into a house renovation. But it is very tempting.

I wish, good luck with the sale.

I actually wonder if I can get one of the longer campers and fit it in my stretch.

Man, I'd love to have one of those too. After seeing Nick's at the Round Up I want one even more. Maybe some day... That little rig is going to make someone a very happy camper indeed!

would love to see that pic.

Picture of a picture...

The caption under the picture reads...

How's this for utility? Ford engineers built a vehicle that legitimately doubles as a stubby pickup truck. Although campers were in vogue, this rare 66 version is material for the smithsonian!
