1973 Bronco Radio Display stuck on

I just got 1973 Ford Bronco and couldn’t be more pleased. It was shipped to me 2 weeks ago and one of the tires had a leaky tire stem which had to be replaced. To do so they took the tire off and replaced it. On my way home I realized that the radio display was on but no noise was coming out of the speakers. When I got home and turned off the engine, the radio display is still on. I am worried it will drain the battery. Any suggestions on where to troubleshot or fix this problem.
Many thanks!

Not to be a smart ass but is there a power button to turn the radio off?
At least if you do that it won't run your battery down while you troubleshoot your radio wiring.

Got a make and model number of your stereo? Pics are always nice!

Stock radio or aftermarket? You say "speakers" with an "s" - so I assume aftermarket? If so, the radio may be wired to battery and not to key-on power.

If you do still have a stock radio, then it maybe an issue with the radio itself.

Most modern radios have one wire for the +12 volts to power it on, and a separate wire just for the lighted display. I don't know why you get no sound (may be a separate issue?) but the issue you ask about MAY be because the display positive wire could be connected to a constant 12 volt source. It should be connected to a 12 volt source that's only on with the parking lights or headlights for example.

Glad you like the '73 and welcome!

Thx everyone. I was traveling last week, and when I got back the battery was dead. I jumped it and the radio worked fine again. Then 2 days later it went out again. I’m going to have someone with better wiring expertise take a look. Appreciate the feedback .
