• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Selling the 302 V8 and C4 automatic that came out of my 1973 Early Bronco.

The drivetrain ran well before removal and was only removed because I converted the Bronco to a Gen 3 Coyote/10R80 setup. The previous owner noted that the reverse gear did not work on the C4, but it went into gear for me when I removed it from the shipping trailer.

The Bronco is VIN U15GLS51678 and was factory equipped with a 302/C4. I believe this to be the original drivetrain, although I have not located/verified the casting and date codes, so I’m not representing it as numbers-matching.

Running video before removal:

Includes:
  • Ford 302 V8
  • C4 automatic transmission
  • Carburetor and intake (Edlebrock)
  • Air cleaner
  • Distributor/ignition
  • Front accessories (alternator)
  • Mechanical fan
  • Long-tube headers (Stainless tubes))
  • Brackets and miscellaneous components shown in photos

Engine and C4 are still together and have been crated/palletized since removal. This is a known-running Early Bronco take-out, not an unknown core. I have photos of the drivetrain before and after removal and the video above showing it running in the Bronco.

I would prefer to sell the 302 and C4 together. $1,850 OBO

Located in Houston, TX. Local pickup preferred, but it’s already palletized if a buyer wants to arrange freight.

Happy to provide additional photos or answer questions.
