Hi my name is Cole, I’m a senior in high school doing my first bronco frame up build. I’ve done other bronco’s but nothing like this. It starting out as a 1975 bronco chassis bare. Going to be running a Narrow high pinion 44 and a 351w C4 automatic. I’ve already purchased a tub and top. I have 2-3 months worth of photos of things I’ve done. Ill be slowly adding photos. Just wanted to show my build and it progress.

First started with the top. I bought it with a camper vent, cut into it. Ended up welding that up. It took way longer than expected. I proceeded to rebuild the running gear. I had a local axle shop cut down some high pinion 44 axles. I ended up paint all the axle parts and tiny bit’s I had. Hoping to do body work soon on top.

I have more questions than answers.
Welcome. Look forward to your progress.

If you haven't already done it, make sure the VIN on the frame matches the title.

When you had the axle shorted how did they account for your caster angle?

What is your long term goal for your Bronco ?

The guy who did the work on my 44 had his own jig for making sure caster was place back to stock.

Finally I was able to start on the frame. I kick around just leaving it how it was. But I quickly talked my self out of that idea. I ended up having it sandblasted. Then using some hardware store paint, nothing special.

After getting the frame all painted I worked on Installing the 9in, then installing the stock tank. I used some old floor mats to help the tank not rattle once installed.

After installing rear axle, I focused my attention on my narrowed high pinion. I replaced all bearings and axles seals, also had to ship of the passenger side axle to Dutchman to get shorten. Got some stock steel wheels off one of my parts trucks as rollers for now. (Peep my 68 bronco in last photo)

Couple weeks went by painting and mocking items up. I was ready to install the motor into the frame. I had a brand new intake bolt brake off. So spent a day fixing that. But after that, I’m happy to see how far along this bronco has come.

After installing the motor I worked on getting the transmission installed. But after getting my flex plate installed on the motor, I realized my torque converter was not lining up. I accidentally bought a 11 3/8 bolt pattern plate instead of a 10 1/2. I was able to contact the previous owner of the transmissions, and he was able to find what I needed. So right now I’m at a standstill on the back half of the drive train.

Awesome! Bronco people are usually good to each other.
