Man, I love it, but it breaks my heart. I would have given you my three Broncos for a chance at owning that one and keeping it original.
I completely get it!
At the time I knew zip about Bronco's, and purchased it site unseen except for a few photos, his family cabin was shut down for winter so it would be several months before I could make the 3hr drive to pick it up. Meanwhile the local Bronco club let me join and that's when I found out the history of the Denver Edition Bronco along with the Stroppe background. Its such a rich and incredible Offroad history and story, being a has-been 80's amateur desert bike racer I've participated in multiple Arizona ADAR,SCORE Baja 1000 races along with racing the first ever BITD Vegas to Reno so I kind of feel this Bronco found me so we can both relive our glory days ;D
Believe me when I say I had a hard time pulling the trigger on modifying this bronco and as much as I like stock/LUBR rides I would have never fully enjoyed driving it and not building what was already in my head.
Too help understand my insanity lol you also have to know that I had given my co-worker and his mother (title owner) my word/handshake that I wouldn't re-sell and this would be my personal rig so buying a more "suitable" project rig was unfortunately not a option IMO
