Hey, newby here. Trying to figure out my VIN. Anyone?
I have a 76 Bronco, Explorer package. Burnt orange in color.
Trying to find out the paint code.

VIN U15GLB32814 G H 23
U151 B8J G

IF anyone can help, thanks!

G is the letter to the right of the vin on the same top row as the vin? If so the color is Chrome Yellow. If it's the H it's Copper. Looks like you've got some top row info on the bottom and vice versa.

The way Ford did the VIN's, they could have been right next to each other!
The pickup trucks were assigned during the same sequence, running on the same assembly line if I'm not mistaken.

Well I remembered to look in the glove box for the VIN plate. It had the color code on it. "H" is the code.
That makes it Medium Copper I believe. Just want to paint a few places. Door jamb, tire carrier rack and a few other touch ups.
Should I just go have some mixed or spend more and get some premixed spray paint can?

I would find a paint shop that will color match with a colorimeter or something similar. A new copper mix prob won't match 50yo copper paint.
