Dear Forum-
I am having a hard time painting my stock 302 engine parts with the correct Ford Color for 1977. I am hoping someone out here in Broncoland has gone through this before. Can anyone recommend a rattle-can brand and color that does the job?

I have already tried Dupli-Color's "Old Ford Blue" (DE1621) and it seems too dark. I have also tried Dupli-Color's "Ford Blue" (DE1601) and it seems too light. Lastly I tried Dupli-Color's "Ford Dark Blue" (DE1606) and it is also too dark. These colors by Dupli-Color are in their Ceramic Engine Enamel (500 Degree) paints. As a reference I am comparing these parts to the valve covers and block which have original paint.

Lastly... are the block, valve covers, and air cleaner all supposed to be the same blue? I could be wrong but it seems like the valve covers are a lighter blue than the block and air cleaner. This could be from fading though caused by cleaning or something else.

Your help continues to be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt Wilson-

Try Krylon #1923 Ford Dark Blue. I think everything is the same blue. The Krylon engine paint seemed to be a close match of the paint on my 72.
