Hey all. I finally got around to installing my 2.5 inch lift from jbg. I went with them because it’s closest to the east coast and I’m a big fan of deaver. This kit seems high to me. It has no body lift and it’s got 33x10.5 r17s. I haven’t flexed it extensively but it definitely hasn’t rubbed yet. Does it seem high for 2.5s? Also do I need an adjustable trac bar? I didn’t think so with 2.5 but it’s for sure offset to the driver side. Thanks for all the help

I think it looks about right, it will settle a small amount as you drive it. As for the track bar I always install both adjustable track bar and drag link just to keep everything center and aligned. Good looking Bronco, Im not usually a fan of modern wheels on EB's but those look good

One other thing I always do even on a 2.5 lift is to add a TRO and a trac-bar riser, it really gets the trac-bar and drag link parallel with the front axle which will eliminate any bump steer handling issues

I love it. This is exactly what I want. What wheels are you running? If you happen to know the Backspacing great. If not I cannot them up.

I would not change a thing. Especially if you have driven it and it drives good.

I think it has a great stance myself. I like both level and up slightly in the rear, but I've always been a bit partial to a tad high out back.
It does seem kind of natural to me then, but I can also understand how you might think it's high. Agree with the others that say drive it some more, see if it settles, then if it does not, you can tweak it a small amount by removing the lowermost two leaves for almost a half-inch drop.
Assuming the Deavers follow the standard operating procedure for spring packs?

But are you totally empty in the back? Do you intend to add any weight to it? What about even just temporarily adding a couple hundred pounds to help them settle?

And yes, every amount of lift will shift the axle sideways on the trackbar. It's just how it works. So it's up to each individual owner/driver to decide whether or not to adjust that back.
I personally recommend trackbar and pitman arm drops even for just 2.5 inch lifts. Most don't think so, but I'm a believer.

Thanks! I am usually not either but wanted something reasonably light and they look close enough to wagon wheels for me. Overall I’m happy but still like the look of aftermarket steelies.

Thanks, that means a lot. I really like it too. I believe they are the method 701s. 17x8.5/ 5 on 5.5/ 0 offset and 4.75 bs.

Hey Paul, I have to start with thanking you for all of the wisdom you impart on everyone here on such a regular basis. I really like level or slightly rear high bronco stances as well! I was just wondering overall if it looks right and not a 3.5. But it is probably just such a big change in person. And I’d have to say, I’m a believer as well, the front passenger side is almost level with the fender and the driver sided is 2 or so inches out. OCD me just can not handle that haha.

I wouldn't be able to either! But the good news is that once you correct that it'll probably drive a little bit better too.
The adjustable trackbar corrects the side to side no problem, but does not address the overall angles. You can try the trackbar first and see how you like it, but if you think it could drive better still, you can also add the drops later.
Then you have to re-adjust the trackbar of course, but that's a pretty minor task.

Agreed, looks pretty perfect as is. Plus it will settle a little over time. The front opening is always going to look larger, fender is simply designed that way.

...I was just wondering overall if it looks right and not a 3.5.

Another thing we didn't mention just now (but is talked about a lot here on the forums) is you can measure your height between the top of the axle tubes and the bottom of the frame rails to get an approximate lift height calculation.
You may have seen it mentioned, but if you use 7" in the front and 6" in the rear as your stock baseline, you can get a pretty good indication of your net lift.

So if your rear measurement is 9 or more, then your eye is not wrong and you currently have a higher than 2.5" lift. But all those other comments still hold true. It might settle, and if not you can tweak it yourself.

But at least the measuring gives you an idea of what you're dealing with.
The reason the measurements are approximate is that Broncos varied even when new, depending on options. But it's a great tool and gets you real close.
So put that OCD to work!;D

i have the same lift on mine and although i didnt measure it, im pretty confident that its more than 2.5" as well. i run 31's on mine and i could easily get a 32 in there, and as you've proven a 33 will work as well.
