I don't know if anyone else has a hard time with getting the fan shroud in or out with the fan & radiator in the Bronco but I did. I have a fiberglass shroud that I cut on the sides and added a modified gate latch to hold the top & bottom from moving when put together. The gate latch got welded with the pin out & I cut the little handle off to clean it up some. I hit the welds with a grinder and pop riveted them to the side of the shroud. Test fit took about a minute to install - pulled it apart & hit it with some flat black & you hardly notice the latches unless you look for them. I haven't test driven it yet but I don't anticipate any issues.

I did one of those, but my fan shroud is aluminum .Best thing I ever did for changing out the fan clutch or working cr changing the thermostat or the belt ,the top two bolts come out and the top comes off of the fan Shroud On the inside I have a piece of 1/4 thick 2”x4” aluminum plate that is threaded for 4 bolts

Nice job I may try that on my other bronco, it has the original shroud

Looks good - I did think about doing it that way but I wasn't sure I could get a wrench in to tighten/loosen the bolts easily.

When I split the fan shroud in 1/2 I also moved the transmission cooler to the cold side of the radiator that took a little bit of work. champion radiator reverse flow they put the cooler in the wrong side it’s on the passenger side. I just left it and added one to the driver side works great. probably wouldn’t do it again after 3000 miles I had a header leak on the radiator on the passenger side but everything good now

That's good info. I plan to do the explorer serp swap next year & will need to think about the radiator, trans cooler, fan shroud situation - Thanks for posting

I built my shroud with the bottom section removable. 4 self-threading bolts will remove the bottom section which allows the shroud to come out the top without having to take anything else off.

That’s one way of doing it, but my clutch fan would be in the way when I pull out the shroud
