We decided to head back to camp...
Once back to camp the EMT's showed up and got the laceration on Tim's hand cleaned up. It had been split all the way across the palm.

Ouch man... Glad they got him all fixed up. From the looks of it, probably could've been a lot worst huh.

Funny your title of the event. there's an event around here, forget what park it is, but they called it bitches in the ditches.. haha.. Only the women wheeled the rigs.

Looks like y'all had a blast man. Always enjoy your pics.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Got to hand to the driving ability of Riley, Mitch and Dave! Saturday was a new day! No more wind....no more clouds! Just beautiful!

Riley took the lead on Saturday! He kicked booty at the lead and we found ourselves full throttle through the dunes at times. You could really see the terrain it was confidence inspiring.

During one of our breaks...after this massively soft bowl swallowed Dave and I.... it took multiple runs to get the broncos out of the hole. Time to cool trannys and radiators.

Immoral support! ;D

We found this grizzly man's man wandering the desert..... :p But seriously Carson is a super guy!

We were working our way to China Wall.... we came upon this steep dune face and Steve and I took a stab at horseshoeing around a bush on the side of the hill when the front tire blew..... split the sideway too! BOO!

IMG_1017.jpg

We brought a piece of teflon to set the jack on to help with flotation. Using a sissors jack and impact (till the batteries ran dead) made relatively short work of it... and with Riley and Steve's help again!

And here's the cheering section for the fix!

The break continued and we all chatted and watch the shadows grow deeper

I think we found the culprit! ;D

Mitch and faithful copilot Sonny....

We all worked our way back to Oldsmobile Hill very spirited! What a blast! We were hoping to run into some of our DTB group there.

Sun was going down and it was fun to watch everyone rip'n it up the hill....

All the rest of the multimedia is in video....I am working on it! ;)

Just wanted to say thanks to all the guys that came. Tim Hall made it a point to come over to Mitch, Sonny, Riley, Carson and Dave to tell them he was really impressed with the way they handled themselves and they are invited back next year! I like the way that everyone chipped in when something had to be fixed!

Stay tuned for the videos!

Really enjoyed seeing all the pics. I wish we had a larger dune area. We have Little Sahara State Park. It is not real big, but it is always a blast when we go. Thanks for the pics and comments with them, kinda made it like we was there too! Will be waiting for the videos.
