But no such slack was given between Paragon and Red Ridge..so it was load 'em and unload 'em every day.....

Some of us drove between RR and Paragon without plates, well, valid ones anyway. My "Broncitis" plate is the old yellow on blue PA style which is actually one of the plastic thermoform ones you get at car shows, it is even too many letters for a real plate!

I am not recommending or suggesting it, but if you travel in a group and don't act like an ass, you generally can get away with it. However, trailing or leaving the rig a the park is a safer option to avoid any unwanted run-ins with officer friendly.

You rebel you. ;D Hey..is there a backroad route from the camp to Rausch that does not use 81? Like the back roads we used from the old Echo Valley campground for example?

BTW..danged if that new campground does not look sweet!!

Edit: Found it...1001 or Gold Mine Rd. The "back way".

I have stayed at the campground and it is very nice.

I am also one of those who will have to leave the rig at Rausch the whole week.

Yes, two different routes from what the manager told me. One through town, one the back way to avoid town.

Back in the early days of the Roundup that was pretty much what it was at Tellico headed out Trail 5 all the way to the campground in town!

Drifting through the corners on all the gravel roads and having a blast. Ahhhh, the good old days!;D

That was great! I rode with Alan my first year when I flew in. Sliding and jumping our way up trail one he scared the bejesus out of me!

Yes, Trail 1 I guess it was, whatever the main road past the pay station and parking area was (it's been years), but we were hauling ass on that dirt road! Lou, Karl, Toby, Russ, Mark, I'm not sure who all else, but it was fun, I do at least remember that!

Registration for the actual Roundup will not open for several months (we usually shoot for March 1 to open event registration)

MEB has blocked off about 20 RV sites near where the campground activities will be going on and also a group tent area as well.

However, the campground did not allow us to include cottages or cabins in the reserved block, so if anyone wants one of these, they are first come first served. Tell them you are there for the East Coast Bronco Roundup and be sure they apply the 10% group discount to your rates. Twin Grove will soon be going to winter office hours, so they will have a limited staff on hand and will generally only be available by phone weekday afternoons between 1 and 6 PM.

the MEB Roundup Planning Committee will be meeting as we do every January to work out all the details, so more specific info will come out shortly thereafter.

I was suprised to see it moved to Rausch. But it may allow me to go to it this year since this camp ground has more cabins and there a so many hotels close by. The nice thing with Rausch is there are a lot of easy trails for guys that don't want to beat up there rigs yet there are some really tough trails too. I will put it on my to do list maybe I can get to it this year!

Reserved a cabin AND joined MEB.

Nice Dlish! It's a great club. Like any club, you get out of it, what you put it. If you do any MEB events throughout the year, the must do event is the round up.

I remember my first day of my first round up. I pulled into the Cove in Gore. It was like driving into a mirage. I have never seen soooo many Early Broncos in one place at one time. It was really cool. I haven't missed one since joining the club.

I booked my cabin the moment the announcement came across the MEB website. Finally the Breens can stay where the activities are, since there are "clean facilities" for the wife.

Well, off to the garage to keep plugging away at this engine upgrade job that keeps dragging and dragging on!

Drew,

By group tent area, do you mean the big tent whet everyone gathers and food is served or do you mean a common area for those of us who will be primitive camping?

Although I hate to pay $35 a day to sleep in my tent, it's a small price to be pay to be around all of you fine folks !! :)
