Hello all. Recently bought the 23 gallon efi tank from bronco graveyard. Called to make sure they had them in stock and ask what fuel pump they use and they said yep have them in stock and now they come with the fuel pump installed. Well put it in tonight and hit he key and nothing. I know I should've checked before putting the tank up but I'm in a time crunch with May it forward Saturday. Dropped the tank took off the sending unit cover and there's no fuel pump in the tank. Reading it looks like I need a 88-94? Mustang pump. But can anyone show me how it mounts? Doesn't look like there's anything to hold the pump. and how do I wire it so the positive doesn't short through the gas to ground?

Sound very typical of JBG and their stellar customer service! You'll need a fuel pump and sock for a 91 Mustang GT (with AC, power steering, grey interior, power mirrors and cassette tape option-trust me they'll ask;))

When you install it, you'll wire the positive to the protected terminal in the top of the cover and add a good ground as well, I connect a ground to a stud in the cover and then go straight to the frame from there. IMO most of the fuel pump problems these tanks have is poor grounds.

I don't want to turn this into vendor bashing but yeah I wasn't real pleased. I wish wild horses would open a second branch on the east coast so we didn't have to pay shipping from California for a decent vendor but I don't see that happening haha.
Thanks for the application, does the pump mount to something inside the tank? I didn't drop it all the way so I was kinda looking over the rear end holding a flashlight but I couldn't see or feel anything in the tank except the sump pan and the pickup tube. Also, is the high pressure efi rated rubber 3/8" line ok to be submersed or is there some special line I've got to use?

You will need a fuel line that is rated for being submerged. The pump will come with a piece of hose, but I can't remember if it's long enough.

Are you sure they sent an efi tank? There should be a baffle with studs or holes to mount the pump.

I'm not sure if it's an efi tank or not. It has the spot for fuel pump wiring on the sending unit cover and I double checked the invoice I ordered the efi tank. But the pickup line goes all the way to the bottom on the tank like I imagine it would for a carb application

This is exactly why I piece together my stuff myself,I don't trust anyone when it comes to ordering stuff. You should be ok with the hose that came with the pump, they generally give you a little extra so you have enuff.I'm doing a in tank pump also, ordered a FAST EZ EFI Walbro pump kit with all high quality parts, should be sweet and simple to install. ;)

Just to update/close this issue, I called jeffs and the guy apologized for someone telling me it came with the pump and told me I needed a pump from a 5.0 mustang (which I knew). Then he put me on hold to see if he could find out how it was supposed to be installed but he couldn't find anything. So after work I picked a pump up from advanced auto and a conduit clamp to hold the pump in the tank. Once I got the tank fully out I could see the stud like it shows on the bcbroncos website. The tank comes with the pickup extended down to the bottom but it's got a small piece of rubber line holding the two steel piece together so I just undid it there and the mustang pump plus the molded rubber hose it comes with was a perfect fit. Reinstalled everything took it for a 25 mile drive and all was good. Thanks all for the help
