I'm restoring my 68 back to original as best I can. I rebuilding the 289 which had the original vacuum fuel pump. I didn't test it but the previous owner had a tee in the fuel line connected to an electric pump. I've looked around for replacement units and only see those for the 6 cylinder. I also haven't seen any rebuild kits. Doesn't look that hard to replace the diaphragms but wanted to see if anyone has tackled this before I waste a lot of time.

Are you planning on running vacuum wipers? If not then there is no need to chase down a vacuum fuel pump.

I'm putting everything back original so if I can find a replacement I'll stay with the vacuum.

Those aren't available anymore. You'll need to have yours rebuilt. I would call one of the Vendors here, to see who can rebuild them. Tom's or Wild Horses could point you in the right direction, I would think.
