The prior owner hacked a 2 1/8th + by 7 1/8th + hole in the dash for a cassette player. Who sells a shallow(two inch approximately) "glove box" to install in the void created by the removal of the cassette player(It ate it's last Iron Maiden and Judas Priest albums it's going to be fed)? Anyone hunt down a glove box to fill that void? With all the dashes hacked up in the past fifty years there must be a semi attractive glove box to install and not just put a cover plate over the void. I know I can buy a new steel dash but by the time you add painting to the project I don't have the time for that level of improvement right now. Much thanks, John B

Wild Horses has a stereo cut out storage tray but should be easy to build one.

That's kind of what I was thinking...

Just installed a replacement stereo in my 88 Mustang. It came with a new "pocket" to replace the factory unit.

Here's a link to a single din dash pocket @ Crutchfield.
