3 on the Tree "Have you?"

I've never driven an early Bronco with anything but a 3 on the tree. Have a project now that will be my first automatic! Whoohoo!;D

I hated when mine was 3 on the tree.. It would also jam at the most inconvenient times. usually between first and second. When it got bad, I would have to pull over and beat on the linkage under the hood to free it up. I drove with it on the column for about 3 years. then hurst on the floor for another 19 years. :) Now it is being converted to an C4. :) Can't wait to get it back on the road and be done with shifting. :)

It's a whole different experience if it works right.. ;)

When I learned to drive my folks had a 65 chevelle with 3 on tree and a 73 f100 with 3 on tree. That was what I learned on. Now I have a 76 Bronco with 3 on tree (soon to be replaced with c-4) Yeah I think it is an anti-theft device.
