Ok guys help me out here. My son’s factory power steering pump decided to puke it’s guts all over the road yesterday morning. Since he is turning 16 in two weeks I gave him my Delphi setup and what a difference it made... now my question is this...What front engine dress should I go with??? V-belt or explorer serpentine? My pulleys have always been the wrong size and will need to be replaced. Currently running modern ford alternator but obviously will have to get a new PS pump setup. 302, Sniper, 35’s currently but could someday go 37’s. Don’t want to Mr cheap on this but can’t break the bank as well! What are you running and like??

I vote Explorer serpentine but I may be a little biased... ;)
Lots of improvements all in 1 package. Great fan, lots of amps from alternator, very capable p.s., no belt squeal. did mine 7 or 8 years ago and haven't looked back. no regrets.

Hard to argue with the explorer set up if your changing stuff around anyway. Just do the Saginaw upgrade with it. Check the classifieds on here. Theres usually explorer setups available in there.

Explorer here too, but it's not a requirement if you don't need it's many advantages.
And I bet if you are buying all new stuff for the V-belt, if it's not junkyard junk, you'll pay as much, or more for it than for the Explorer serp setup.

That said, we have cool pulleys, correct campers (though you're probably good there), correct power steering stuff and all the usual suspects.
If your new Ford alternator was not squealing with the v-belts before, it should not now. If not, how did you do it? Dual belts, or larger pulley? Something else?

What is wrong with your pulley size now? Maybe "wrong" is not necessarily bad.
I'm still a vote for Explorer. Just saying it's not always a requirement.
