The guy at GBE Mandrel’s told me that 304 stainless bends try to “relax” when heated! Anyone ever heard of this? He sells mild steel, aluminized steel, 409, and 304 stainless. Just trying to figure out which to go with!

I have never heard or read that before.
Because it has more chromium and nickel 304 stainless is more resistant to rust than 409 stainless.

T-304 is expensive for a reason.... It's the best you can get for exhaust work...

My headers are T-304 ... no problems here...
