Have a cut 1972 with factory drums. Looking to put 15x10 wheels with 4.5” backspace and 32x11.5x15s. Before I do it would like to know if they’ll fit without spacers, rubbing or other modifications?

Anyone?

Hard for me to believe no one has experience or knowledge with this combination since I see pictures of examples wearing what I’m interested in doing.

Would like to know if it requires additional lifting, cutting spacers or anything else or is it direct bolt on for stock height cut early Bronco.

My experience has been that the 4.5' back space with a 15" rim will not fit without spacers.

I will have to check my backspacing, but I am running a 15x10 with a 32x11.50 tire on my 74. I am running a 1/4" spacer up front with a factory disc brake frontend. The rear does not have spacers with factory drums. Truck was originally stock height in the rear and like a 2" coil up front and is cut. Plenty of room in the front with those 32's and the 2", so I wouldn't be surprised if they would fit on stock suspension. Especially if the springs were in good condition.

Why such a wide rim for such a narrow tire? And as others have noted, that's too much backspace...I had to run 1" spacers for 3.75" backspaced rims on our '76.

All depends on what knuckles you are running, I'm running 4.5" of back spacing on my dana44 that is supposed to have 6 bolt f150 knuckles on it without spacers, its close, the wheel weights have worn a groove in the tie rod boot but clear the tie rod and knuckles.

I also agree, why a 10" wide wheel with a 32x11.50 tire? I think 10" is too wide for 12.50 tire. Just my opinion.

I'm all for what you want, If you like it you should have it. Measure the back spacing on your existing wheels, come up with what the measurement difference is and measure the space between your current wheel lip and knuckle/tie rod, see if there is room. Its pretty basic math and measuring. There a just a lot of variables in knuckles, hubs, brakes, ect. making it very difficult to have a cut and dried answer.

Cause I want this look and that's what appears to be on this one. 15x10 Wheel Vintiques Chrome Steel Wheels (4.5"-5" backspace) and BF Goodrich 32x11.5x15s.

I have 31x10.5x15s right now with 8 inch wide wheels and 4" backspace.
That is a good look. I'm normally in agreement with others that 10 inch wide wheels are too wide for 11.50's or 12.50's, but if that is what is on the Bronco shown it looks good. Are you sure the backspacing on these is 4"?

But that said, if you wheel it a narrower wheel will hold a bead better when aired down.

The backspace on my current 8" wide wheels is 4" the 10" wide rims as advertised on Wheel Vintiques site have a 4.5" backspace listed but may be closer to 5" I'm told.

We normally use an 8 inch rim for 32's. we move to 10 inch rim when we use 33 or larger.

I like the look also, but I really think the 12.50 looks better on the 10" wheel. The Holman-Moody Bronco "Hunter" is the one that sold me on the look. I had to have that wheel on "Rattler" the K bar S Bronco.
Yes, they are Wheel Vintiques which is the only current company that makes a 'chrome reverse' wheel. They are made to order, so don't get in a hurry and want them tomorrow. They are also very expensive!..... but you can't beat the look on the right vintage Bronco!

A couple more pictures off my phone...

I love the stance/look straight on. It's kinda short and wide..... like a little bulldog!

Any spacers or other modifications to get them to fit right? Looks like you at least have a front lift maybe 2"? Mine is stock, but I think the 32 will fit just fine since that's what's on the Hunter. Just concerned about rubbing/spacers that kind of thing. There is another company that sells them (speedway motors) they are made by the wheelsmith but they don't look as correct.

No spacers of any kind.... Bolted directly on the hub. The rear is a '77 heavy duty housing with chromoly axles and the front is a Dana 44 with the Duff disc brake conversion. The knuckles that bolts on Ford factory disc brake parts and uses the standard straight Bronco tie rod system. With the factory '76-'77 front, you might have to have a spacer, but if one, a really small one to clear the tie rod ends. These wheels don't have much backspacing.. just 'front spacing' .. :giggle:
