Well I'm real sure This one came off a 78 Ford 4x4 . He was buying part to try & get a 4x2 gear box to have rebuilt for his 1965 f100 352.. He's trying to get Power steering on his 65 ... This 65 he bought off his ORNERY old Fart of a Grand Father ... But he was a good man over all. So Brother Alan bought hat truck as a Junior in high school . & He hauled a lot of hay with it . .. I hauled with his big brother . He hauled with a couple of his age boys . He's 2 or 3 years under me.
But he bought his old 65 back this summer & It still has his Senior Parking decal on it. His grand Son just got his driver's license & Is set up to drive it his Senior year to school.... He's also bought hiM an 86 302 auto Bronco. White OJ..
... But when he told me one day at dinner This GEARBOX doesn't look correct. SO When I saw it I started asking questions . & SOME WHERE He said he saw the truck & it was a 4x4... I said let me ask the Guys on the Bronco Channel [ WEBSITE] they know something about everything . SO I Told him ... don't call the guy & get mad ... You've got a more sought after box than a 4x2 box ... We'll keep this 4x4 box & sell it to one of the Bronco Guys & Fine another 4x2 box.
But you can' buy a 4x2 rebuilt box from the part store chains now Obsolete .

.... SO I'VE been trying to make sure He has the correct box to help a Bronco brother out..

..... I'll be buy his shop tomorrow To. TAKE HIM THE TOOL to remove the pulley from a pump he's bought . Then I told him I have a 1986 F150 with a 400cid P.S. Brackets & Pump & Hoses on it. Sorry Buddy I forgot I had that old truck down on Bronco Row ...
there might be some Copper PIPE Also Down by the road... & Grand Daddy's old CAKE HOUSE is where todays Yeast is kept ... After we all got Home from our senior trips to NAM ..We all went to find that new still sight & Now it's cover in all Weeds with 5 corners .. Down on Bronco Row ... Yaw baby Down on Bronco Row..
...........
.........Goodness where'd that come from..
...
........ But I'm really sure we've got a 4x4 box for sale .
Maybe I can get a picture tomorrow .

Well, the good news is that there is a GIANT part number cast into the steering box that will tell you for 100% sure what it came out of.

Hard to see when it's installed, but when it's sitting on the bench, you can't miss it.

Here's an example for a 77.

OK I'LL STAER over ... From todays information ..
I GOT OVER TO MY BUDDIES Shop just in time to take him to dinner ...HE & I go to dinner almost every day.
... SO TODAY he's had the power steering gearbox pulled off a 1966 4x2 he'd bought months ago He didn't want to pull this gear box ...He wanted to buy a core & rebuild it ..
But his sonNlaw had remove that gearbox this morning ... SO Al & I grabbed the gear box & headed for dinner ina town west of our town . &Then we went on over to the West as we'd heard ... WE Now have a man living in a very small town & He's retired But STILL BUILDING GEARBOXES at this new place in Proctor Texas .
I knew of him, as I'd sent boxes to him back when I was in the parts business before 1995... But he was then in East Ft Worth ..
SO For $160.00 Al can get this 1966 box rebuilt & Delivered back to him in STEPHENVILLE ..
GREAT DEAL .
......
...so I'll try & post up a picture of his 4x4 78 gearbox.
