5.0 oil pan swap (pump)

I did not recall reading about switching the oil pump from eb to 5.0 but after doing the swap of oil pans, i noticed about a 1" in diference in pumps (change the gasket too). just wanted to add that for those of us doing the swap and did not notice it... (it was pionted out to me by my mustang guru friend)

Is it necessary to replace the mustang oil pan when swapping in a 5.0?
