I like the stretch idea... but not the 4dr idea... lol...

could one put the seats in rows so they are facing the middle? think there might be room that way?

I have full width axles and installed rear seat from a trailblazer by removing 5 inches from each wheelwell. Still snug fit but my 3 sons 9, 10 and 11 can sit comfortably in it.

I ended up trading my 74 for a 4x4 van just before the 3rd one was born. Had that for 4 or 5 yrs before I went with an 83 full size. I wish I knew then what I do now and would have done a few mods like you guys are suggesting. Would have still had that Bronco. Oh well I have a good one now and had it for almost 20 yrs now.

My truck has 2 bucket seats in the front, and a single bucket seat slightly foward of where the stock rear bench was. The rear bench was moved to the very back. That allows everybody to have enough leg room to be comfortable.

I really like this and probably the cheapest easy way.

Gator809 do you have any pictures you could put up of your setup? I am doing the same setup in the next few weeks, tying everything into a custom cage. Need to figure out how I am going to do the middle seat.

Thanks.

Sorry no pictures. The leg room was only really suitable for kids, but it worked for that. The seats were just bolted to the floor.
